Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage are set to headline Naughty, a holiday film directed by Olivia Wilde. Universal Pictures will release it on November 5, 2027.
Aniston plays Mallory, a mother embroiled in a custody dispute with her ex-husband. Her only path to winning: track down Santa Claus and compel him to testify at the divorce hearing. Dinklage plays Santa. The script is by Jimmy Warden, who wrote Cocaine Bear for Universal.
Wilde has been attached to direct since 2023, when Warden's spec script landed at the studio. According to the AV Club, Wilde had Aniston and Dinklage in mind from the project's earliest stages, with scheduling finalized recently. The project gained momentum following The Invite, Wilde's 2026 Sundance film that crossed over to wider theatrical release.
LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company led by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and Milan Popelka, is producing alongside Wilde.
Naughty opens November 5, 2027, competing directly against Warner Bros.' animated musical comedy Margie Claus, featuring Melissa McCarthy as Mrs. Claus. Both studios are targeting the Thanksgiving holiday window.
