Netflix announced Dogfight on Tuesday, a revenge thriller set in London's criminal underworld. Guy Ritchie will write, direct, and produce. Jason Statham will star. No release date has been set, and no additional cast has been announced.

The project marks the seventh time the two have worked together. Their partnership began with Ritchie's 1998 debut Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and continued through Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man, and 2023's Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. According to Collider, production is scheduled to begin in the United Kingdom in early 2027.

A sixth collaboration is also in the pipeline. Viva La Madness, an adaptation of J.J. Connolly's novel with a screenplay by Ritchie and Connolly, arrives before Dogfight. The two are deep into an extended Netflix era: The Gentlemen began production on its third season in October 2026, with Theo James returning.

Ritchie's London crime work from the late 1990s and early 2000s defined a particular register: quick dialogue, stylized editing, ensemble chaos. The more recent Statham collaborations traded most of that for cleaner action mechanics. Dogfight drops no clues beyond the setting. The criminal underworld framing is familiar. What it does with that is the question.
