Walt Disney Studios has passed $3 billion at the global box office in 2026, becoming the first studio to reach that threshold this year, according to Deadline. The milestone was triggered by the continuing run of Toy Story 5, directed by Andrew Stanton, which has earned more than $367 million worldwide following its $312 million global opening weekend.

The studio's path to $3 billion spans multiple franchises. The Devil Wears Prada 2 leads the slate at $677.6 million, pushing the combined franchise total past $1 billion. Pixar's Hoppers has added $372 million. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu has crossed $323 million. 20th Century Studios' Send Help has contributed $94 million.

Disney has been the world's number-one studio in nine of the past ten years, according to Deadline. The current slate also benefits from carryover performance from 2025 titles Avatar: Fire and Ash and Zootopia 2.

The studio's second half of 2026 still includes several major releases: a live-action Moana opens July 10, Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars arrives August 28, and Avengers: Doomsday is set for December 18.
