Born and raised in the small town of Farmland, Indiana, Chad is the oldest child of Ed and Nancy Law. His love for film started at a very early age when his father began taking him to genre films such as "Stephen King's Silver Bullet", "The Lost Boys" and "Big Trouble in Little China".
