Seán Lohia McParland is an indie filmmaker based on the Gold Coast, with roots stretching across New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, and Australia. He’s worked across independent film, commercial shoots, and larger productions, building a reputation for leading collaborative crews and guiding projects smoothly from pre-production through post. With a passion for inclusive storytelling, Seán creates safe, accessible spaces on set and behind the scenes. Through his work with Bus Stop Films, he writes, directs, and mentors emerging filmmakers with disabilities - helping to shape a film industry that’s more representative, creative, and human.
