About
Paula Pereira (Vigo, 1998) is a director, screenwriter and editor. Her work explores the construction of identity from a queer perspective, moving away from heteronormative narratives to give voice to other ways of feeling and inhabiting the body. In 2024 she received the audiovisual creation grant for the promotion of Galician talent from AGADIC with the project Algo novo que contar (currently in distribution and finalist for best short film at the Mestre Mateo), with which she obtained various recognitions both at regional and national level, including awards for best short film at festivals such as FICBUEU and XOCIVIGA.
