Mohamed Ismail Khalfouni is an independent filmmaker based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Having grown up in an environment influenced by Sufi practices and coming from a dance background, his work is deeply rooted in spiritual symbolism, rhythm, and the physicality of expression. His films explore human nature, identity, and the inner conflicts that shape us—often through bold visuals and experimental storytelling. Ismail studied Photography at the École des Beaux-Arts de Sousse before relocating to the UK, where he became an active member of the Edinburgh Cine and Video Society (ECVS). There, he continues to collaborate with emerging talent, pushing creative boundaries in grassroots filmmaking.
