Rafael Sá Carneiro (born 14 September 2002, Lisbon, Portugal) is a filmmaker, screenwriter and performer whose work lives at the intersection of cinema, drawing, music and performance. A recent graduate in Film & Media Arts from the Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa, he charts human stories with emotional clarity and a collaborative spirit. In 2023 he made the short film Évora, a contemplative portrait of place and memory. He co-wrote and directed the series Pena Negra (with João Severo), and in 2025 released the film A Hora do Chico! , alongside the documentary short The Doors of Perception. His creative practice is rooted in humility, respect and connection. He believes that every project thrives when people feel, share and relate.
