About
Uxmal Álvarez Trejo has been a student at the National School of Cinematographic Arts, the oldest film institution in Latin America, since 2022. His work is characterized by a rigorous focus on political cinema and social realism, exploring contemporary issues through a critical gaze deeply committed to reality. His work is influenced by political cinema and social realism, as evidenced in Oasis, a documentary that portrays the lives of queer immigrants in Mexico City and received a mention in the prestigious José Rovirosa Award.
