Nishaant Singh Bhinder is a young director and screenwriter from Chandigarh, India. His early breakthrough came with Pinds of Punjab (2020), a situational crime thriller set in rural Punjab, which garnered a large audience and received widespread appreciation upon its digital release. His most critically recognized work, which gained strong recognition on the festival circuit, is Ryder: Queen of F**king Everything* (2021). Having its Irish premiere at the GAZE International Film Festival, followed by international screenings at the Four River Film Festival (Karlovac), Scottish Queer International Film Festival, and Copenhagen Underground Film Festival, before having its Indian premiere and becoming a finalist at the Oscar-qualifying Bengaluru International Short Film Festival.
