Raquel Azurdia Thommel is a Guatemalan director and screenwriter. Throughout her career, she has directed short films and music videos, such as “Un Lugar Libre”, which had its international premiere in Mexico, and “El Silencio del Paab’ank”, which has been screened at festivals in Uruguay, Costa Rica, USA and Russia Raquel has a passion for visual storytelling and the design of cinematic spaces that create emotional impact. Her career began in student and independent productions, where she stood out for her ability to translate creative visions into visually compelling and cohesive narratives.
