Mark Lawrence hails from Ardnacrusha in the county of Clare in the West of Ireland. Before becoming a professional actor, he studied Medicine in University College Cork, qualifying as a Doctor. Mark acted in a number of plays with the U.C.C. Dramatic Society, before moving to Dublin to train at Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting. He was nominated for an ISDA for Best Actor for his performance as 'Lar' in the award-winning play 'Such a Local Row'. Lawrence has appeared in lead and supporting roles with companies in Cork, Limerick, and Dublin, most recently appearing as the lead male role of 'Nigel' in 'Sharon' by Katie Holly at Bewley's Theatre, Dublin.
