Darren Brade is a London-based filmmaker and photographer, originally from Leicester. He began his career in photography before moving into filmmaking as a way to explore more complex emotional and social themes, particularly around identity, trauma, and human connection. In 2018, he co-founded Peripheral Vision Films with Wesley Mahoney, focusing on short, character-driven stories. His work includes Your Heart is Homeless, Arrival of Oliver, To Walk Amongst You, Do What Thou Wilt, and most recently, Breaking Through the Fear. These projects often engage with LGBTQ+ experiences and mental health, with an emphasis on the personal impact of wider social pressures.
