Alexis Vogel was the daughter of legendary nude photographer Ron Vogel and his wife Audry Pomerantz. Alexis grew up around her father's photography studio, and naturally wanted to play a part, which led her to working as a hair and makeup artist for her father's studio. When Ron began working in the adult film industry in the 1970s - as a still photographer and later as an art and set designer, lighting director, and occasional cinematographer - Alexis came along and provided hair and makeup for those projects and soon many others. By the mid-80s, Alexis began working on Hollywood projects, making a name for herself, and was soon requested by name by a number of celebrities.
