Jussara Rocha Freire (São Paulo, February 8, 1951) is a Brazilian actress and presenter, famous for her work in television, cinema and theater, she is the winner of several awards, including two APCA Awards, a Brazil Quality Award, and a Press Trophy. She began her career in the 70s, gaining prominence in soap operas such as Os Inocentes (1974), Éramos Seis (1977) and O Direito de Nascer (1978), consolidating herself as one of the great names in Brazilian television drama, until establishing herself as a prestigious actress thanks to her performance in the soap opera Pantanal (1990), for which she achieved critical and public recognition and was awarded best actress at the Troféu Imprensa and the APCA Award. Other notable works include the soap operas Amazônia (1991), Coração de Estudante (2002), Cabocla (2004) and Belíssima (2005).
