Jane Ellen Harker was born on November 13, 1923 in San Francisco, California. She was an actress, known for The Unfaithful (1947), That Way with Women (1947) and Love and Learn (1947). She was married to Samuel Lefcourt Lanier (born: Lefkovits). She died on September 10, 1988 in St. Johns, Florida, USA. A popular glamour girl of the late 1940s, she is best remembered as Alice from a number of the 'Joe McDoakes' film shorts. She became a Warner Bros. contract player and made her 1946 silver screen bow in "Her Kind of Man." Jane went on to numerous cinematic appearances including "Deception," "Night and Day," and "Humoresque" (all 1946), while building a following by posing for several 'cheesecake' magazines both domestic and foreign; in 1947 she had her best known film role in "The Unfaithful," also was seen in "Love and Learn," and "Possessed," and made the first of her eight appearance…
