About
Roberto De Angelis was born on July 27, 1970, in Rome, Italy. After studying cinematography at the prestigious Istituto Roberto Rossellini in his hometown, he began his career in the camera department, working as a camera assistant and focus puller throughout the early 1990s. By the early 2000s, De Angelis had advanced to camera and steadicam operator roles on major international productions. His early credits include The Passion of the Christ (2004), The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone (2003), and La Vie en Rose (2007). He went on to contribute to the visual storytelling of films like Public Enemies (2009) and James Cameron's Avatar (2009).
