Jørgen Roos was a Danish documentary filmmaker and cinematographer, celebrated for his extensive work in documenting Greenlandic culture and the Arctic environment. He began his career in the 1940s and directed numerous documentaries that brought attention to the lives and traditions of Greenland's indigenous people. Roos's notable works include Nordatlantens folk (1956) and Angotee (1953), the latter winning the Short Film Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
