Overview
On August 14, 1985, the Peruvian army's Lince 7 patrol extrajudicially executed 69 people in the Andean community of Accomarca, in Ayacucho, Peru, claiming that a Shining Path base operated there. On May 20, 2022, the remains of 37 victims were returned to their families and buried in a community cemetery within the former Accomarca military base, which has now become a memorial site.
