A24 released the full trailer for You Can See Everything on Wednesday, offering the most complete look yet at Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's three-year documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, the Theranos founder convicted of defrauding investors. The film opens in theaters October 16.
The project began 34 days before Holmes started serving her 11-year federal prison sentence in May 2023, when she invited a film crew to document her. According to A24's official synopsis, what the filmmakers encountered became "a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss." The documentary runs 174 minutes.
The trailer establishes Fielder's method: residing with Holmes and her partner Billy Evans and their two children, probing her sense of accountability from the inside. In one exchange, Fielder asks whether Holmes feels she did anything wrong. Her answer: "I do not." Elsewhere she acknowledges an interior distance: "I took a really long time to be okay with letting someone see me cry."
You Can See Everything premiered as the secret screening at the 53rd Telluride Film Festival earlier this month. A teaser released shortly after went viral. The full trailer, now public, extends that momentum.
It is Fielder's feature directorial debut. Oppenheim previously directed Some Kind of Heaven (2020) and Spermworld (2023). What the film finally asks of Holmes, and what she gives back, is what October is for.
