Marvel has assembled its X-Men. Director Jake Schreier's reboot now carries a May 2028 release date and a full ensemble: Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Adam Driver as the villain.

Driver's character was announced by Disney under the name Nathaniel Milbury. According to Deadline and Variety, that name is a front for Mister Sinister, one of the franchise's long-running antagonists. Disney's official presentation at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event kept the language deliberately vague. Driver confirmed the role via a recorded message during Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige's showcase.

The cast arrives without the Fox-era names the franchise carried for nearly two decades. Sink made her first appearance as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, entering the role before the wider ensemble existed around her. Abbott and Weaving have built careers largely outside franchise production. Connor, best known from Heartstopper, takes his largest studio role to date.

No production timeline has been confirmed publicly. A May 2028 window implies principal photography is expected to begin within the year. The film has no official title.
