Woody Allen began principal photography in Madrid on October 5, 2026 on his untitled 51st feature. The contemporary comedy stars Marton Csokas and Jemima Kirke as leads. It is the first time either has worked with Allen. Supporting cast includes Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives, and Alexi Wasser.

The film is produced through Allen's Gravier Productions in partnership with 3SIX9 Studios. WestEnd Films, which handled international sales on Allen's Coup de Chance and sold it to over 30 countries after its Venice premiere, is on board again. The crew includes cinematographer José Luis Alcaine, costume designer Sonia Grande, and production designer Alain Bainée.

"I will be very happy to return to Spain," Allen said, according to ComingSoon. "This will be my third time filming there and my first opportunity to make a film in Madrid, a city I have always loved."

The project is Allen's third set in Spain, after Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and Rifkin's Festival (2020). Filming takes place primarily in Madrid and the surrounding region, and the film will be shot in English. No title or release date has been announced.
