The sequel to one of 2025's biggest commercial thrillers has its latest cast addition confirmed. Lionsgate announced that Stephen Kalyn, known for his role in the Amazon Prime Video series Off Campus, will join The Housemaid's Secret opposite Sydney Sweeney. According to Deadline, Kalyn will play Brock, Millie's lawyer boyfriend who is unaware of her criminal past.
The Housemaid's Secret adapts Freida McFadden's follow-up novel. In it, Millie Calloway (Sweeney) takes a job keeping house for a woman she's never allowed to see, only to discover a truth darker than her own secrets. The film's ensemble expands with Kirsten Dunst as Wendy Garrick, Brittany Snow as Marybeth, Michele Morrone as Enzo, and Paul Anthony Kelly as Douglas Garrick.
Paul Feig returns to direct from a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the first novel. Producers include Sweeney's Honey Trap banner alongside Todd Lieberman, Laura Fischer, and Feig's Pretty Dangerous Pictures.
The first Housemaid (2025) earned over $400 million globally on a $35 million budget. For Kalyn, the role represents a significant step from prestige streaming into franchise territory. The Housemaid's Secret is scheduled to open in theaters December 17, 2027.
