Curry Barker's horror film Obsession has crossed $234 million worldwide, becoming Focus Features' biggest film of all time. The supernatural thriller, made for just $750,000, earned $161 million domestically in 26 days since its May 15 release.

The 26-year-old director from Alabama made his feature debut with the film, which follows a music store employee who uses a mystical toy to make his coworker fall in love with him. Inde Navarrette stars as Nikki, earning awards buzz for her performance as the object of obsession who becomes dangerously devoted.

Barker previously directed the YouTube horror film Milk & Serial for just $800 before landing representation with United Talent Agency. Obsession premiered at Toronto International Film Festival's Midnight Madness section and sold to Focus Features for around $15 million.

The film achieved the biggest fourth-weekend hold for a horror film and set records for second-weekend spikes. It currently holds a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
