Lewis Pullman will star opposite Julia Garner in Guilty Creatures, Apple TV+'s limited series based on Mikita Brottman's book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series draws from a real case: the December 2000 disappearance of Mike Williams in Florida's panhandle, where a body was never found. According to the show's logline, Guilty Creatures follows two adulterous, God-fearing lovers through the act of murder and the eighteen years they spent concealing it, tracing the emotional toll of living as killers.
Craig Gillespie directs and executive produces through his Fortunate Jack Productions banner. Stuart Zicherman, whose credits include American Sports Story, will serve as showrunner. Sarah DeLappe adapts the source material. Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, produces alongside Garner's Alma Margo production company. Garner also serves as executive producer on the project.
Pullman earned a 2024 Emmy nomination for Lessons in Chemistry on Apple, where Guilty Creatures will mark a second collaboration with the streamer. He next appears as Bob Reynolds in Avengers: Doomsday, with earlier credits including Top Gun: Maverick and Outer Range. Garner, whose Ozark run made her one of the defining performers of peak streaming, takes a producer credit alongside her performance here.
