Disney+ has struck a content partnership with France's Groupe M6, bringing four of the broadcaster's flagship shows to the platform in a deal that extends a relationship spanning more than 30 years into the streaming era.
Two M6 sitcoms, Scènes de ménages and En Famille, arrive on Disney+ on September 25. Two unscripted formats, Mariés au premier regard and The Power: Qui a le pouvoir?, follow in early 2027. The agreement covers several hundred episodes in total, available ad-free across all Disney+ subscription tiers. Selected unscripted titles will carry a seven-day preview window ahead of their M6 linear broadcast.
Karl Holmes, Disney+'s EMEA general manager, said: "M6 has created shows that audiences in France really love, and we're excited to bring some of those favourites to Disney+."
M6 chairman David Larramendy framed the deal as a template. "This agreement reflects the transformation of the audiovisual landscape and demonstrates how broadcasters and streaming services can work together," he said.
The arrangement targets viewers aged 15 to 34 and fits a pattern Disney+ has been building across Europe. Comparable deals are already in place with the UK's ITVX, Spain's Atresmedia, Portugal's SIC, and Italy's RAI. The M6 partnership is the latest addition to that strategy as the platform works to deepen its local programming across the continent.
