Searchlight Pictures released the first trailer for Behemoth! on Tuesday, introducing Pedro Pascal as Alex Serian, a gifted cellist who returns to Los Angeles after twenty years of touring. The film's official logline: "A gifted cellist, Alex Serian, returns home to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road. Music, which has been the constant, all-consuming river of his life, begins to carry Alex on an adventure that will change him forever."

Tony Gilroy wrote and directed the film. Gilroy earned dual Oscar nominations for Michael Clayton and more recently created Andor for Disney+. He has described Behemoth! as "a movie about movie music." The score is composed by nine filmmakers working collectively under the Behemoth! Collective, including Oscar winner Michael Giacchino and nominees James Newton Howard and Alan Silvestri.

The supporting cast includes Olivia Wilde, Will Arnett, Eva Victor, JoBeth Williams, Margarita Levieva, Hank Azaria, Alexa Swinton, and Kaya Ralls. Gilroy produces alongside Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy.

Behemoth! opens December 4, 2026. Pascal, best known for his franchise work across Marvel and Star Wars properties, plays a character defined entirely by his relationship to music over twenty years on the road.
