Ariana Grande will not appear in American Horror Story Season 13. The Coven revival premieres September 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX, then streams on Hulu the following day in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
Grande had been announced as part of the main cast in October 2025. Scheduling changes to the production timeline created conflicts with her Eternal Sunshine Tour, which runs through August 23 in London. According to The Wrap, she did not film any scenes. Representatives for 20th Television and FX declined to comment.
Set photos released July 9 confirmed her absence while introducing two previously unannounced cast members: model Alex Consani and veteran character actor Frances Conroy. The wider Coven ensemble remains intact. Returning are Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange.
This would have been Grande's debut in the AHS anthology. Her only prior collaboration with Ryan Murphy came on Fox's Scream Queens in 2015. Since then, according to The Hollywood Reporter, she has pursued screen acting more broadly, including her work in the Wicked films. The role she was set to play in Season 13 has not been disclosed by the network or production company.
